About
Who we are
Kyoto Meitoku Wind Ensemble & Marching Band is a high-school music program in Kyoto, Japan. Our motto is “every place people gather is our dream stage.” We train as both a seated wind ensemble and a marching band.
What we value
Technique matters, but we care most about performances that move people. We work toward stages that stay in the audience’s heart — on the concert platform and on the marching field.
Wind Ensemble
From fundamentals to ensemble blend, we pursue a beautiful concert sound for contests and our annual concert.
Marching Band
Music, movement, and visual performance. Color guard and drill are a signature of Kyoto Meitoku.
Community stages
School events, local stages, and our yearly concert. We return support from our community through music.
Practice
- Weekday afternoons and Saturdays (varies by season / before contests)
- Usually off on Wednesday and Sunday, except before major events
- Music rooms, ensemble hall, and courtyard for marching
Beginners and experienced players are both welcome if they want to take music seriously and enjoy it together.
